NEW YORK: Superman star Henry Cavill, who played the lead role in the Superman series for years, has announced that he will not be returning as the superhero in future Superman films.
The actor shared the tragic news on his Instagram account on December 15, not long after meeting James Gunn and Peter Safran, the men who recently took over DC Studios in October.
The Man of Steel actor wrote in his message,
“I just met with James Gunn and Peter Safran and it’s sad news that I won’t be returning as Superman.” The news isn’t easy after the studio announced my return in October, but that’s life.”

Henry Cavill wished Superman series creator James Gunn and Peter all the best for the future and thanked his fans for their love over the years.
Remember that in October this year, Henry Cavill confirmed in an Instagram video that he will return to the screen as Superman.
The announcement came after Black Adam’s brief appearance as Superman in the mid-credits scene, but he has now called the iconic series off the air.
It should be noted that James Gunn has announced that a new edition of the Superman series will be coming soon, however, no information has been provided as to who will play the role of Superman, while Henry says that he will play various DC Comics characters. I will be seen.
Cavill may still be a part of the DC Realm, Variety discovered via insiders at the studio, reporting that “Gunn, his co-president Peter Safran, and Cavill met recently and are all excited to find something in the comic book universe for Cavill to tackle.”
Henry Cavill emphasized that although his tenure as Superman is now over, those who have supported him over the years shouldn’t bemoan the changes too much.
“We must keep in mind that Superman is still alive. The ideals he upholds and the standards he sets for us are still in place! Although it’s no longer my turn to don the cape, what Superman represents will always endure “Cavill composed.
It’s been a fantastic voyage with you all, onward and higher, he said in closing.
Different roles of Henry Cavill in Movies:
In a recent mid-credits sequence from the Dwayne Johnson movie Black Adam, Cavill played the role. He played a significantly bigger role in the 2017 film Justice League, joining up with Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg to take on a formidable foe.
