The Bad Batch Season 2 Will Address the Mandalorian Connection

Star Wars:

The Bad Batch season 2 will respond to the Mandalorians connection, according to overseeing producer Brad Rau. Clone Force 99, popularly known as the Bad Batch, is a group of elite clone troopers that were produced with certain genetic improvements. They are the subject of the well-known Disney+ animated series. Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, and Echo, members of the team, battle Crosshair, a crafty sniper who would do everything it takes to get rid of his former squad and recover the special kid clone, Omega. Crosshair is one of the team members.

Rau recently revealed answers to a potential The Mandalorian link in Season 2 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch in an interview with SFX Magazine (via GamesRadar). Nala Se, a Kaminoan cloner, was escorted to a secret Imperial facility at the end of season 1 and met by a human who was dressed similarly to Dr. Pershing (Omid Abtahi), a scientist from The Mandalorian. Rau made a suggestion that the significance of the ending scene will be further explored in the following season, despite the director withholding any specific plot specifics. Read Rau’s comments below:

That’s not a coincidence, but I don’t want to talk too much about what’s going on there. We’ve got to leave some things in the dark, but we do get into all of that, one hundred percent.

Even though Rau withheld any information on The Mandalorian’s relationship to Star Wars. The Bad Batch’s plot, it seems doubtful that the two tales would converge given how far apart they are in the Star Wars timeline. In Star Wars, The Bad Batch, the Republic is destroyed, and much of the action happens right after Order 66. Although Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith takes place about 30 years prior, The Mandalorian is set in a different time period.

It is feasible for Grogu, the young Force-sensitive creature Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) pledged to protect, to make an appearance in the animated series despite the fact that he is 50 years old. With cloning at the heart of both Star Wars: The Bad Batch and The Mandalorian’s main stories, the franchise appears to be offering explanation for Emperor Palpatine’s puzzling reappearance in Star Wars: Episode IX — Rise of Skywalker. It’s possible that the scientist from the Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 1 finale works for the same Imperial organisation that Dr. Pershing does decades later.
